Flexible online studies in bird identification can be a useful tool to learn efficiently, and to formally document your skills. You can take the exams online, or combine it with our field courses.

Nord University offers online studies in bird identification based on bird sound and appearance. For non-norwegian citizens we have two different study programs, one concerning birds in the students own country and one concerning birds in the whole of Western Palearctic. After you have passed all formal exams, you can join our field courses.

On our website you can practice for the exams with our quiz and competition groups, and search for bird species in our online bird guide. Our studies gives you formal qualification to work with different kinds of monitoring and assessment of birds.
