Flexible online studies in bird identification can be a useful tool to learn efficiently, and to formally document your skills. You can take the exams online alone, or combine it with our field courses.

Nord University offers online studies in bird identification based on bird sound and apperance. For non-norwegian citizens we have two different study programmes, one course concerning birds in the students own country* and a programme with formal exams for the whole of Western Palearctic. After you have passed the formal exams, you can join our field courses.

On our website you can practice for the exams with our quiz and competition groups, and search for bird species in our online bird guide. Our studies gives you formal qualification to work with different kinds of monitoring and assessment of birds.
