What do you have to do to become a student?

BirdID is a part of Nord University, and follows the same admission guidelines as other study programmes in universities in Norway. First you have to apply in My Page. In order to be accepted as a student, you must fulfill the admission requirements. There are no exceptions from this.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

You must meet at least one of the following two requirements in order to be approved as a student, both in the pre-course and the exams:

  • You must have completed upper secondary school. Send proof of your exams from upper secondary school, or proof that you have taken at least one exam from university/college.
  • You must be at least 25 years old and have 5 years of relevant work experience.

 

 ENGLISH LANGUAGE DOCUMENTATION

Students that are citizens in other countries than native english speaking countries, Sweden or Denmark, must
submit a valid english-test/proof of sufficient english skills in order to be accepted as a student in the Western Palearctic courses. The general basis for admission to universities and university colleges in Norway is called Higher Education Entrance Qualification. For applicants with foreign education, the requirements for english skills are specified in the GSU-list. ADMISSION PROCEDURES

After registration, you will receive an email that confirms your application. Please allow 10-14 workdays for
application processing. When your applications is approved, you will be granted admission by email to start with the pre-course, training and exam.
